Thiet Van Phung, 52, of Compton died Nov. 19, 2009, in his Compton residence. There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. He was born June 11, 1957, in Vietnam to Nhieu Van Phung and Son Thi Nguydn. He married Somchit Mathesius. He was employed as a welder for Farmers Factory in Lee. He is survived by his wife, Somchit of Mendota; two sons, Peter Thiet Phung of Compton and Jonathan Phung of Compton; and his mother in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorials may be directed to the family.
