Thomas Gail Munson, 85, of Earlville, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Stonecroft Village in Mendota. He was born January 13, 1941, in Mendota, the son of Gail and Marian (Barth) Munson.

Tom graduated from Mendota High School, class of 1959. Tom farmed all his life in LaSalle County, with a particular affinity for his goats, cows, and horses. He enjoyed professional baseball, maintaining a meticulous yard, and he was an avid supporter of Northern Illinois University athletics.

Tom is survived by his brothers, Allan "Tim" Munson of Mendota, IL; Robert Munson of Matthews, NC; Steve Munson of Sterling, IL; and a sister, Laurie Munson of Kansas City, MO.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Gail and Marian (Barth) Munson; brothers, William Munson and John Munson; and a sister, Susan Gilmore.

Cremation care has been provided by Horner-Merritt Funeral Home. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Restland Cemetery in Mendota.
