Tim J. Walker, 44, of Sugar Grove died Oct. 19, 2009, in Naperville. A memorial service will be at noon Saturday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Columbia, Ky. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday in the funeral home. Mr. Walker was born July 8, 1965, in Columbia, Ky., to Howard and Janet (Young) Walker. He worked as a salesman at Dempsey Dodge in Plano for 10 years and for American Cab Co. for the past year. He served with the U.S. Army in Grenada and Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall. He is survived by one sister, Becky (Mike) Smith of Mendota; one nephew, two aunts, one uncle and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Kolzow in 2008. Memorials may be directed to the family.
