Obituary
Timothy T. McCarthy, 72, of Mendota passed away January 9, 2022 in his home.
Tim was born August 8, 1949 in Chicago to Charles and Dorothy (Keeley) McCarthy. He married Barbara Rife.
Tim served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked as a security guard for Mendota Community Hospital and Illinois Valley Community College. He was a car enthusiast and a Chicago Bears fan. He loved animals and camping and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Barb McCarthy of Mendota; son Ryan McCarthy of Mendota and his sister Bridget (Michael) Galazkiewicz of Minooka.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services and burial will be private. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota assisted the family.
