Thomas W. Martin, 86, of Mendota died March 18, 2009, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Mendota. Services will be at noon Saturday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Larry Sheaves officiating. Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille, with military rites by VFW Post 4079. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday in the funeral home. Mr. Martin was born April 3, 1922, in LaMoille to Thomas and Anna (Anderson) Martin. He married Lauretta Crowe on June 15, 1946, in Arlington. He was employed by Wayside Press in Mendota for more than 40 years. He was a World War II veteran serving with U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of VFW Post 4079. He is survived by three sons, Jerome Martin of Mendota, Tom (Bonnie) Martin of Mendota and Kevin Martin of Mooresburg, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in September 1992; one daughter, Kay; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
