Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Trudy was born January 3, 1963 in Aurora to John and Clarice (Harmon) Hickman. She married Hector Lara on April 27, 1979.

Trudy was a homemaker and a wonderful and protective wife, mother and grandmother. She had a green thumb and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She loved to collect jewelry and was a great free hand artist and writer.

She is survived by her three sons Matthew (Melanie) Lara of Mendota, Joshua (Jennifer) Lara of Spring Valley and Chaz (Maggie Balicki) of Ladd; five sisters Karen, Becky, Evelyn, Amanda and Clarissa and seven grandchildren Makayla, Angel, Brianna, Jasmine, Luykis, Zachary and Anastasia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2018 and her sister Didi.
