Wright Farrell, 95, of Rochester Hills, Mich., formerly of Mendota, died Aug. 24, 2008, in Sanctuary at Bellbrook in Rochester Hills, Mich. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is one hour prior to services Thursday in the funeral home. She was born Sept. 22, 1912, in Marseilles to Arthur and Bernice (Whitmore) Simmons. She married Wesley Wright and later married Louis Farrell. She graduated from Marseilles High School and Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in music. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mendota for many years, where she was in the church choir and other musical activities and a member of United Methodist Women. In fall 1994, she moved to a senior citizens facility in Rochester Hills to be near her daughters. She is survived by two daughters, Jan Wright (Don Ulisse) of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Carol (Rick) Hayford of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; four grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; four greatgreat- grandchildren; one nephew and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husbands, one brother and a nephew. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Mendota or Mercy Hospice, 281 Enterprise Court, Bloomfield, Mich.
