On June 8, 2014, the
angels brought Wallace J.
Pantenberg, 84, beloved husband
and
father home
to be at rest.
He passed
away peacefully
in his
Mendota
residence.
Mass of
Christian
burial at
10:30 a.m.
Thursday in Holy Cross
Church, Mendota, with the
Rev. Tom Otto officiating.
Burial will be at Restland
Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation will be 9-10
a. m. Thursday in Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota.
He was born Jan. 23,
1930, in Westfield Township,
Bureau County to Floyd and
Helena (Kauth) Pantenberg.
He married Helen Huffaker on
Dec. 15, 1961, in Princeton.
Wallace and Helen operated
Mendota Diesel for
40 years and then Mendota
Outdoor Power for seven
years before retirement.
He was a member of Holy
Cross Church and Elks Lodge
1212. He was a graduate of
La Salle-Peru Township High
School. His passion in life
was his horses, snowmobiling,
boating and playing
drums in his band.
He is survived by two sisters,
Ruth Ann and Janet, both
of Florida.
He was preceded in death
by his wife on July 20, 2011,
and one sister.
