Warren Morrison, 88, of La Salle died Feb. 13, 2009, in Ophir Township. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Waltham Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Roy Backus officiating. Burial will be at Waltham Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services Wednesday in the church. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, provided the arrangements. Mr. Morrison was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Mendota. He married Aletha Jackson on Sept. 6, 1944, in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was a member of Waltham Presbyterian Church. He had farmed in the Ophir and Waltham area. He is survived by one son, Gary of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and one daughter, Cindy (Mark) Swank of Poplar, Mont. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 21, 2000; one son, Roger, one brother and one sister. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
