of Troy Grove died
Jan. 24, 2013, in his residence.
A celebration of his life
will be at 1 p.m. Saturday,
Feb. 2, 2013, at Chubby's in
Troy Grove.
Merritt Funeral Home,
Mendota
provided the
arrangements.
He was
born May
15, 1954,
in La Salle
to John and
Laura (Labens) McLaughlin.
He attended Mendota High
School and served with the
U.S. Army from 1971-1973.
He was a member of
Ironworkers Union, Local
386 for 32 years until his
retirement. He was an outdoorsman
and an avid fisherman
and hunter.
He is survived by two
daughters, Amanda L.
McLaughlin of Troy Grove
and Holli A. (Adam) Clark
of Ottawa; five grandchildren,
Adam, Annabel, Juliah
and Benjamin Clark and Zoe
Hancock; two great-grandchildren;
three sisters, Joan
(Walter) Kofoid of Marseilles,
Marge (Pat) Kelly of Utica
and Lorraine (Ken) Kasza of
La Salle; and one brother,
Mark (MaryLee) McLaughlin
of Oglesby.
He was preceded in death
by his parents; four brothers,
James, Edward, Eugene and
John; and two sisters, Patricia
and Louise.
