William V. Judy, 92, of LaMoille
died Nov. 11, 2013, in St. Margaret's
Hospital, Spring Valley.
Memorials services will be at 11 a.m.
Friday in Community United Methodist
Church, LaMoille with Rev. Sangmyung
Park officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services
Friday in the church. Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota provided the arrangements.
He was born April 29, 1921, in Marseilles
to William V. and Mary Ella (Thomas) Judy
Sr. He married Irma Dissinger Biers on Oct.
27, 1989, in LaMoille.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World
War II in the Pacific Theater of Operation. He
was a member of the American Legion, VFW
and Elks Lodge and was a former member of
Ottawa Rescue Squad. He previously lived
in Spruce Creek, Fla., and later in Georgia
before moving to LaMoille in 2004. He was
a member of Community United Methodist
Church, LaMoille.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters,
Sharon (Ron) Bruck of Ottawa, Nancy
Miles of Ottawa and Patti Stillwell of Aurora,
Colo.; stepchildren Neil Biers, Kevin (Mary)
Biers and Beverly (John) McCauley; 12
grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and
one brother, Danny Halverson of Plano.
He was preceded in death by one son,
Wayne; one daughter, Linda; one sister,
Joyce; and five brothers, Don, Clayton, Jim,
Ron and Marion.
