William J. Kuczek, 56, of Toluca, IL, formerly of Mendota, passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025 at St. Anthony Medical center in Rockford, IL after a lengthy illness.  He was born in Chicago, IL on Jan. 8, 1969 to Edward and Jane (Bukala) Kuczek.  He was a member of Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Peterstown, IL.  Bill attended Mendota Schools graduating in 1988.  He is survived by his brother Edward of Mendota.  Bill was preceded in death by parents.  Until his physical and mental handicaps didn't allow him to work, he was employed at several local workplaces.
Public visitation will be held 5-7PM, Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025 at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota.  Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Peterstown, IL with Father Greg Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow the at Sts Peter & Paul Cemetery.  Memorials in Bills honor can be made to Sts Peter & Paul or Holy Cross Catholic Church for mass offerings.  Visit www.horner-merritt.com for online guestbook.
