William Scheppers, 55, of Mendota died Feb. 22, 2010, in his residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. The Rev. Kent Svendsen will officiate. Burial will be at Troy Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Mr. Scheppers was born Nov. 19, 1954, in Peru to August and Doris (Rogers) Scheppers. He married Kim Shaver on April 2, 1988, in Mendota. He was employed by Ken Harlow Painting in Mendota and attended Mendota High School. Survivors include his wife of Mendota; three sons, Brandon Scheppers, Cody Scheppers and Colton Scheppers, all of Mendota; one daughter, Kalli of Mendota; four brothers, Ken (Rose) Harlow, Brad (Sandy) Bradford and Jon (Deborah) Bradford, all of Mendota, and Jan (Tara) Bradford of Peru; two sisters, Linda (Larry) Walters of Missouri and Sherry Shaver of Earlville; a stepfather, Archie Bradford of Mendota; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to his children.
