Willis D. Vietz, of Mendota, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at OSF St. Paul Medical Center, Mendota.

Private graveside services will be held at Dewey-Worsley Cemetery. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.

Willis was born April 12, 1939 in Mendota to Frank and Luella (Carr) Vietz. He married Gladys Jorge on December 14, 1974.

Willis attended Mendota High School. He served in the United States Army. He was employed by Mendota Motor Wheel.

He is survived by his brother Wayne (Darlene) Vietz, several cousins and his nephew Mark Vietz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife on December 16, 2023.
