Winifred Jean Schmidt, 85, of El Paso Health Care Center died Nov. 26, 2011, in the center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 17 at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Mendota to Joseph Thomas and Lucy (Webster) Edwards. She married Arthur L. Morrison on March 13, 1947, in Mendota. She married William L. Schmidt on July 15, 1954, in Mendota. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Sherry (Patrick) Dagg of Peoria; four sons, Dennis A. (Mary) Morrison of Dixon, William V. "Bill" (Luann) Schmidt of Manchester, Tenn., James J. (Julie) Schmidt of Mendota and Martin L. Schmidt of Black Diamond, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, four brothers and one sister. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
